ARCHIVED RAI WEBCASTS:

October 21, 2010
CE/RAI Transportation Webcast Series, Part 4:
BIM and Sustainability for Roadway Drainage Design
While much of the focus on sustainable design practices has been on buildings, the civil engineering community is showing it can make significant contributions to diminishing the environmental impact of the built environment, particularly roads and highways. In this presentation, we will discuss key trends in sustainable design, review sustainable design approaches, and show how working in a BIM environment enhances the delivery of more sustainable designs. Through examples you will see how working in a model-based environment facilitates the drainage design process, one of the ways engineers can impact the sustainability of roads and highways.

WANT TO LEARN MORE?

Rebuilding America's Infrastructure hosts two types of webcasts. For one type, industry experts are invited by RAI  staff to present; sometimes presenters are users of the sponsor's product or service. Sponsors are not invited to participate in the presentation. RAI staff review the content in advance, ensuring that it meets our standards. This online presentation option is well suited for delivering information about industry trends, best practices, project case studies, and more.

For the other type, sponsors present on a topic of their choice. RAI staff review the presentation to ensure that it meets our standards. This online presentation option is well suited for presenting the technical merits of a specified product, providing design guidance for a specific product, or training for a software solution.

RAI will promote either type of webcast to its magazine and e-Newsletter subscriber database. Professionals who wish to register will be directed to the Rebuilding America's Infrastructure Webcast Series landing page. This process assures that all unsubscribe and opt-out requests are honored by ZweigWhite.
