Oops they did it again. Due to a mix design error and other lapses at the NCDOT, 18 miles of bad pavement was laid on I-795. Late last month, crews started to mill 1.5 inches of the crumbling road and will add another 3 inches of new asphalt in an effort to strengthen the pavement.
