Building off his Labor Day announcement of a bold new plan for modernizing and rebuilding America's roads, railways, and runways, President Obama held a meeting at the White House on Oct. 11 about the economic impact of infrastructure investment on our states and local communities.

The Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI) has released its newest research report, “Policy Issues in U.S. Transportation Public-Private Partnerships: Lessons from Australia,” which explores these public-private partnerships (PPPs) and the lessons that can be derived for the use of PPPs in the United States.
