Transportation a key topic during eConference this month

On Aug. 25, Rebuilding America’s Infrastructure will co-host an online conference and virtual tradeshow called the Government Infrastructure eConference: Engineers Planning for Better Water, Transportation, and Building Projects (www.governmentinfrastructure.com). This unique event will assemble hundreds of engineers working for the government directly or as a consultant with experts and vendors in a modern, interactive virtual environment. If you’ve never attended an event like this, please consider this valuable means for gaining industry insight, product and service information, and networking opportunities. Two key benefits of this type of event: there is no need to open your wallet or get on a plane.

The event has three main areas for attendees to explore:

  • an exhibit hall,
  • an auditorium, and
  • a networking café.

Sponsors and exhibitors staffing virtual booths in the exhibit hall will be in attendance to chat with visitors throughout the eConference. In addition, eConference attendees can view product demonstrations, download whitepapers and brochures, and interact virtually with industry representatives to learn more about our sponsors and exhibitors.

In the auditorium, you can attend three scheduled webcasts, one each about government water, transportation, and buildings infrastructure, followed by a chat with the speakers. Each webcast will consist of a trends review, ideas for how you can improve your projects, and project examples to show how your peers are putting the ideas presented into practice. The projects will review lessons learned from the conceptual design phase, the design options evaluated, and why the winning solution was chosen. Attendees can earn 1 PDH for each webcast they watch. Following each webcast, speakers will be available for live chats to answer attendees’ questions and engage in relevant discussions.

Think of the networking café as the coffee station at a live event where you meet and greet other attendees, comment on the event, ask how your peers are handling their business challenges, and get to know your fellow attendees. At any time during the event, networking and impromptu discussions take place in the networking café. Look for peers or meet new ones and join on-going discussions.

Government infrastructure projects offer unique challenges. Join us to explore unique solutions for getting the job done better in a modern forum. Register today (remember, it’s free!) to receive your unique URL to attend the live event on Aug. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT. Go to www.governmentinfrastructure.com to register and learn more.

There are also RAI Webcast Series presentations coming up in the next couple months. Check out the schedule at www.rebuildingamericasinfrastructure.com/webcasts or the profiles on pages 15 and 19. Register for all the events that interest you. Webcasts are a free means for earning PDHs, just like the eConference discussed above.
