If water, wastewater, and transportation are spaces you frequent, then you might consider saving late April for one or both of the specialty conferences presented by the Design-Build Institute of America.
It all starts April 19 with the Design-Build Water/Wastewater Conference, which will end with a dual session on April 21 with the Design-Build in Transportation Conference, which continues through April 23. Both events are held at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas.
According to the Institute, feedback from members indicated an interest in the crossover: “While both sectors have distinct differences, members agreed that attending a dual session for both groups would prove beneficial.”
On day two of the Water/Waste-water Conference, the general session, “Real-Time Situational Analysis” with San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), is billed by DBIA as an educational opportunity for owners and practitioners to participate in an interactive session that “will address the challenges SFPUC is facing as it embarks on a design-build journey for the first time.”
