For the first time ever, TRB will conduct a live Internet broadcast of select sessions at a conference — the7th International Bridge Engineering Conference: Improving Reliability and Safety – Restoration, Renewal, and Replacement. The conference, which will be held on Dec. 1-3, 2010, in San Antonio, is designed to increase the body of knowledge and literature aimed at solving engineering and management issues unique to highway infrastructure such as bridges and culverts, and to foster direct communication on research results and innovative practices. The preliminary program for the conference is available online.
Registration to receive access to the live streaming video of select sessions is free for employees of TRB sponsors and $99 for all others. Streaming video registrants will also have access to the recordings of the sessions for later on-demand viewing. Both live broadcast and recorded sessions will include video of the podium speaker, PowerPoint slides, and audio. The live broadcast also includes the ability for online participants to chat and submit questions. Visit the online streaming video site to register.
Register to attend the conference in-person on the conference’s website. In-person registration fees cover all sessions, continental breakfast and coffee breaks each day, lunch on Wednesday and Thursday, and the Wednesday evening exhibits and posters reception. Each paid in-person registrant will also receive complimentary access to the recorded sessions and one set of the Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2200, 2201, and 2202 (Bridge Engineering 2010: Volumes 1-3) — a $150 dollar value when purchased as a set, $195 if purchased individually.
