Oldcastle Precast is providing precast concrete manholes, hand-holds and telecommunication shelters to AT&T Government Solutions Inc. at Ft. Leavenworth Army Base Kansas as part of the Army's $4 billion Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP). The Infrastructure Modernization (IMOD) initiative is rewiring U.S. bases around the globe.
The I3MP connects command posts and contingency operating bases directly to the Defense Department's Global Information Grid. Together, these infrastructure improvements are helping the Army consolidate hundreds of disparate data centers into 14 area processing centers (APCs), which will provide secure, centralized storage, e-mail and data backup services to Army operations around the world.
AT&T Government Solutions Inc. engaged Oldcastle Precast to furnish 120 different sized and shaped manholes, hand-holes and telecommunications shelters for a U.S. Government I3MP network upgrade project at Ft. Leavenworth Army Base, Kansas.
"Oldcastle Precast built a supply of boxes for AT&T and made sure that our, sometimes untimely, needs were always met; and always on time. Oldcastle's product was always of the highest grade quality" stated AT&T Quality Assurance Manager/Engineer Stephen Smith. " I am quite certain that all of us at AT&T GSI look forward to working with the whole Oldcastle Precast team on all our future manhole and structure projects. "
