MoDOT uses smog-eating concrete in St. Louis project

Construction has begun on an effort to improve and raise Highway 141 and Ladue Road in Missouri above flooding level. Part of this $55 million project includes paving a section of Highway 141 with concrete that captures pollution and ultraviolet light from the sun and breaks it down into harmless smog-fighting chemicals.
