RALEIGH, N.C. — Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm, is expanding its operations in Raleigh, N.C., to include bridge and structure services. Led by senior bridge engineer, Rick Wertman, P.E., the Raleigh-based bridge team provides design, inspection, and rehabilitation services for highway and rail structures, as well as buildings.

Prior to assembling in Raleigh, team members collaborated from their respective areas of the country on projects for the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the city of Charlotte. Serving a wide variety of municipal, state, and federal clients, Gannett Fleming’s bridge professionals are experienced in all types of bridge design, including routine bridge design, complex highway bridges, rail and transit structures, and inspection and rating of all structure types. The firm has provided bridge designs for a variety of settings, ranging from rural to inner city, small streams to major river crossings, and simple grade separations to complex multi-level interchanges. Its projects are continually recognized at the regional and national levels with engineering excellence awards. Specializing in providing reduced lifecycle cost solutions and accelerated bridge construction techniques, Gannett Fleming also provides unique design services to the construction community and its contracting partners.
