Buckland & Taylor Ltd. to provide engineering services for Athabasca River Bridge replacement

NORTH VANCOUVER, BC AND EDMONTON, AB — Alberta Transportation selected a team led by Buckland & Taylor Ltd. (B&T) with subconsultants EBA Engineering, Terrace Engineering, Turtle Island, Golder Associates, Docklands Specialists, and Partridge Hill Engineering to provide engineering services for the replacement of the Athabasca River Bridge on Highway 813 near Athabasca, Alberta.

The B&T Team will provide bridge planning, preliminary engineering, detailed design, and tender package preparation services. B&T brings specialized expertise in project management and long-span bridge design to the project. The bridge is not on Alberta Transportation's current construction program but Alberta Transportation is planning ahead and commissioning the design so that it will be ready when funding is available.

"We are looking forward to be working with Alberta Transportation and the Athabasca Community to deliver this improved link to resources, recreation and growing communities in Northern Alberta." said Dale Serink, B&T's director, Alberta Practice.
